FSI Tax Donates to Tibet Foundation

Columbia, MD – March 29, 2006 – Employees at FSI Tax Corp™, a Maryland-based tax resolution company, today chose the Tibet Foundation to receive a donation as part of their charitable giving drive.

FSI Tax employees setup a “Denim Fund,” a fun and generous initiative to collect charitable donations in exchange for the privilege of wearing jeans on Fridays. Once enough funds are collected to make a meaningful donation, employees submit their favorite charities to be selected by a random drawing.

"It’s a joy to see all of the creative suggestions our employees submit,” explains Human Resources Director Jill Strider. “As important as it is to be involved in local charities, we are excited for this opportunity to broaden our charitable efforts beyond our borders for such a worthy cause.”

The Tibet Foundation is a London-based charity that works toward creating greater awareness of Tibetan culture and the needs of Tibetan people. Founded in 1985, the foundation provides healthcare, education and social economic support for people living in Tibet and Tibetans who live in exile.

Company president Sean McCabe believes philanthropy is a valuable and essential characteristic of his company’s corporate culture.

“Our mission at FSI Tax is to help people who are struggling,” said McCabe. “Charitable giving is perhaps the most appropriate extension of that mission.”

FSI Tax made 14 charitable donations since the “Denim Fund” was started in March 2005. Several organizations that benefited from the fund include United Way, Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity, Second Chance and the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America Russell Rescue.
